Pat Foster

Postby draglist » Wed Mar 26, 2008 10:26 pm

Cindy Gibbs laid bare her emotions and decided to share with our readers her thoughts on a recent visit with our ailing friend Pat Foster. The story is here....

Pat's hospital will print and share all emails he receives. Please take a moment to fill out the web form and offer our friend a few words....

(He is in room 109).

Finally, here is a link to all our Pat Foster stories on draglist. They're great.

I read Cindy's story earlier tonight. Man what a tough story that had to be to write. Thanks for hosting it BP.

I will send an email to Pat as well.

Sad deal,

I had the "privledge" to see this guy race in most all of his rides. This guy was one of the "real" dragracers who could drive anything. I had the chance to talk to him at one of the Hot Rod Reunions at Bak. He was a damn fine driver. Just like most, the Setzer car was most revered, yet the Mickey Thompson Mach-1 ride was stout as well.

As a 13-15 year old, I got the privilege of hanging around the pit of Lil' John Lombardo whenever he came to Fremont. A couple of those times, Pat was piloting Lil' John's Vega.....Those times will be forever etched in my mind, as I wiped oil out from under the body between rounds, or got to watch a round of qualifying or eliminations from the best seat in the house...the back of John's ramp truck.....Great Times 8)
