Goodguys Announces 2002 Season Schedule

Alamo, CA - The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association has released its 2002 event schedule, which will be presented nationally by K & N Engineering Inc. Manufacturer of the world's best filters for automotive, motorcycle and marine applications. The 2002 Goodguys lineup features 20 events from coast to coast and includes 14 National events for rods, customs & classics, three West Coast Championship Series vintage drag races, and three regional "Get-Togethers" at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds which welcome all years, makes & models of cars & trucks.
New to the national event lineup in 2002 is the Goodguys Midwestern Nationals, October 11, 12 & 13 at the sparkling new Kansas Speedway facility in Kansas City, Kansas. The traditional season-opening March Meet, which this year turns 43 years old starts off the Goodguys Goodtimes March 8, 9 & 10 at Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield and the season rolls right through mid-Fall with the season-ending Goodguys 5th Southwest Nationals, November 16 & 17 at WestWorld in Scottsdale.
Goodguys and K & N Filters will present the brand new "Goodguys Goodtimes TV" show, which will feature event coverage, shop visits, hot rodding legend profiles, and a potpourri of exciting features on the world of hot rods & customs as well as vintage drag racing. The television show will air on Speedvision Network starting in April and run through June - something Goodguys President Gary Meadors is very excited about. "For years we've wanted to show the television audience just how diverse and exciting our events are," he said. "Thanks to K & N Filters, we now have that opportunity."
