The new Hemi Hunter was rolled out for the first time on Sunday, June
2nd. The show was an all Chevy car show with several local nostalgia drag
cars. It was a local show and was held at the Schnecksville Fire Company
on Route 309 in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania. Here are some pictures of the
new boy. Boy, you let the car write a little story about himself, and now
we can't shut him up. He wrote a few words about the day himself (see
below). If you look closely, you'll notice that the new Hemi Hunter has a
stock block and heads in it. We are still working on the Arias for the
very near future. Wayne had one of the original blocks and heads hidden in
his body shop. So to make the show we stuck it in the new/old boy. The HH
wouldn't stop complaining about the weight, and said we had promised him
an aluminum engine. Hope he's not going to be a sissy. We'll see when he
finally goes down that 1/4 mile.

June 2nd, East Penn All Chevy Show. Well, I think the guys
have slipped a little in the last 30 years or so. I never heard any one
group of guys complain so much about tired feet and hands. I can't figure
out what their problem is. I feel great, all shiny and new. The local
Chevy guys invited me to their first spring outing. I was excited about
rolling out of the trailer for the first time. Boy, what a thrash. From a
bare frame eight weeks ago to an almost finished me. Well almost. As you
can see, the finishing touches (like my injector lines) were still being
installed at the show. Now if I can just keep the crew's attention long
enough to get me totally ready for the drags, we'll really have some fun.
Thanks to everyone for the help.
