How did you get involved in Drag Racing?
I was introduced to Drag Racing by Colin Will with whom I was working with at the time in the Fire Service at Port Pirie. I became part of his crew and was not satisfied with that so I built a Doorslammer of my own.

Person I admire most in Drag Racing?
Scotty Cannon and Victor Bray. I would love to be as successful as them both at some stage further on in my Drag Racing career.

How do you pysch yourself up for a meet?
Usually about half an hour before the first race (providing we haven't had any problems with which I am involved) I quietly get suited up. I relax away from the public setting my mind on the procedures on the start line, gear changes and track conditions while including in my mind the will to win and perfect my reaction time on the start line.

What goes through your head prior to staging?
A mental check list - Oil pressure and Temp OK, first gear Forward, Tacho reset, Fire system active, Air shift on, Chute clips removed - Tire pressure correct? Are doors closed properly? My mind is then 100% focused on the tree, Track and my opponents position relative to staging, Nothing else around me matters I want to WIN !!.

Why do you compete?
I enjoy competition, I enjoy the Speed, the Acceleration particularly when you know there is another driver in the next lane trying to out drive you. I want to improve on each run which gives me a great sense of achievement. At present we are trying to maintain our second position on the championship table (March 99).

Which competitor gives you the biggest competition?
The same person I have fronted up against on the start line more than any other driver Victor Bray.

How much money do you think you have been through in this sport?
In the past 18 months we have been involved I wouldn't be game to divulge exactly how much I have spent, but it wouldn't be too hard to add up. $200,000 so SPONSORS PLEASE HELP as we have funded the entire operation ourselves.
