Jim Read - Top Fuel
THE MAN  Jim
Read's career since 1970 has been of constant achievements including 11
times National Championship Winner and Winner of: 14 Australian
Championships; six Winternationals; six NSW Championships; four
Summernationals; two Speedweeks and four Grand Finals. He
has also held numerous Australian records, was the first none American to
qualify for a major US title(1982 Winternationals with an event and track
record), the first in Australia to win a 6- and a 5-second pass, the only
Australian Dragster listed in the Guinness Book of Records, and was voted
one of Australian drag racing's Top Ten All Time Greats in 1986.
