We were helping Larry Christopherson with his Nova Funny Car in 1969. Larry ran Larry Arnold in the Kingfish Barracuda at a match race. Larry won the first round, and on the second round, the car quit on the starting line. Dan Geare ran up the hill to get the starter box, and on the way down he tripped and fell. Made one complete summersault, landed on his feet and kept coming! That box had two 12 volt batteries in it, along with the cable to plug in. Must have weighed 100 pounds. Got it started, and won the round. Remember it like yesterday.
