This is one of Jungle Jim's earlier funny cars. If it looks a bit rougher than some of my other work, it is. Why? Mostly because I intended for it to give a sense of "EARLY" in terms of his first attempts at a funny car and mine. So YES. It is supposed to look a bit rough. My first attempt at this car was indeed cleaner by most standards, but very dry to look at.

Some would say that's the artsy-fartsy side of the artist in me. I guess they would be correct. 

This drawing is done with the usual colored pencil, black ink and some paint. It is best viewed from a distance of 24 inches or greater to obtain the intended visual effect. I suppose I could go in to the historic significance of this car, but I have found that leaving this up to you guys is best. After all, significance is sort of like beauty. It's in the eyes of the beholder. Let us know what you think. Thanks for looking.
