Litton Heads Qualifying At IHRA
Amalie Oil North American Nationals

EPPING, NH. - Bruce Litton of Indianapolis led qualifying at the Amalie Oil North American Nationals at New England Dragway. Litton's Wix Filters Top Fuel dragster recorded a 4.684 elapsed time with a 316.42 mile per hour speed during the first qualifying session to secure the top qualifying position. His run was only .001 off the track record.

Mike Janis, Lancaster, NY, Steve Stordeur, Goshen, Ohio, Dale Brand, Sully, Iowa, and Gene Wilson, Canton, Ga., were respective top qualifiers in the Pro Modified, Nitro Harley-Davidson, Funny Car, and Pro Stock.

Pro qualifying continues tomorrow at 1:00. The final qualifying session begins at 6:50 PM.
