Millican Top Qualifier At IHRA
Amalie Oil North American Nationals

Epping, NH - Clay Millican, of Drummonds, Tenn., led qualifying at the Amalie Oil North American Nationals at New England Dragway. Millican's Werner Enterprises Top Fuel dragster recorded a 4.614 second elapsed time with a 323.58 mph run during the final qualifying session to secure the top qualifying position. His run stands as the quickest elapsed time in IHRA Top Fuel history. Millican will attempt to win his fifth consecutive race to tie an IHRA record established by Don Garlits in 1975.
Mike Janis, Lancaster, N.Y.; Steve Stordeur, Goshen, Ohio; John Vouros, Victor, N.Y.; and Gene Wilson, Canton, Ga., were respective top qualifiers in the Pro Modified, Nitro Harley-Davidson, Funny Car, and Pro Stock divisions.
Final eliminations begin Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
