EPPING, NH. - Clay Millican was the quickest Top Fuel
qualifier at the IHRA AMALIE OIL North American Nationals at New England
Dragway. Millican, from Drummonds, Tenn., qualified at 4.745 seconds,
296.44 mph.
Other number one professional qualifiers included Quain Stott, Inman,
S.C., in Pro Modified; Steve Stordeur, Goshen, Ohio, in Screamin' Eagle
Harley-Davidson; Dale Brand, Sully, Iowa, in Funny Car; and Steve
Williford, Engelhard, N.C., in Sunoco Pro Stock.
Final eliminations are scheduled for Sunday at Noon. The AMALIE OIL
North American Nationals is the tenth stop on the twelve-race Hooters
IHRA Racing Series.
