Got a phone call last night from KS Pittman’s wife, Lavonne. She informed us that his passing was peaceful and that she was close by.
There will be a memorial in Springfield and then KS will be buried in Texas, along side his brothers Paul and Silas.
KS was a dear friend. He befriended me and Joe when we first came to California and didn’t know many people, having us to dinner at his home on several occasions.
What a great ambassador he was for drag racing. He always had a smile on his face and I can’t ever remember him saying a bad word about anyone.
I am enclosing Lavonne’s address for anyone who might wish to convey their sympathies.
