JUNIOR STOCK REVIVAL AT 13TH ANNUAL MUSCLECAR MADNESS

YORK, PA – The 13th Annual Musclecar Madness at the York Reunion will be presented on July 11-12th at the York Expo Center, York Fairgrounds featuring a Junior Stock Revival that will be the topic of discussion for years.

The York US 30 Dragway closed in 1979 but the pilgrimage continues to York every second full weekend in July with the annual York Reunion. Legends of drag racing abound along with legendary race cars. The show features the gamut of competitive drag racing machines that competed at this world famous race track.

A special feature at this year’s event will be the Junior Stock eliminator cars and their proud owners. Many resurrected and others restored to present a facet of drag racing that celebrates the heritage of the sport.

Drag racing legends Arnie Beswick, Wally Booth, Dick Arons, Jere Stahl, Wally Bell, Marv Ripes, Jim Walther, Jim & Alison Lee, Kenny Warren, Bunny Burkett, Tom Sneden, Bob Frey, George Cureton, Linda Vaughn, “Miss Hurst Golden Shifter” and many more will be on hand to visit with their many fans during this popular show.

A special tribute will be held on Saturday for Bud Faubel who passed away during the holiday season. He will be honored by his peers and fans during the special presentation. Bud was a pilot during the Korean war, Vietnam war and was fan favorite with his “Honker” race cars.

The show hours are Friday, July 11th 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is $15.00 children 12 and under free, active military FREE, and free parking.

The event supports the York County SPCA with proceeds from a special auction

going to support their much needed support for the animals of York county.

Action shifts to Beaver Springs Dragway on Sunday, July 13th for the York Nostalgia Nationals where many of the legendary race cars will compete in their favorite nostalgia race. Activities begin at 8 a.m.
