IHRA No Box Fab 5’s Moved to Pine Valley Raceway

Special $5,000 to win twin event to take place in February

NORWALK, Ohio (January 29, 2014) – The International Hot Rod Association’s (IHRA) twin $5K race the No Box Fab 5’s, scheduled to take place the weekend of February 28-March 2, has been moved from Dallas Raceway to Pine Valley Raceway.

The special $5,000 to win race for No Box competitors will retain its original date, but will be relocated to Pine Valley Raceway in Lufkin, Texas. Entry to this special event is only $99 and, as an added bonus, racers that purchase an entry to Saturday’s race will get free entry to Sunday’s race creating a two-for- one value that is unheard of in big money races.

Payout for the No Box Fab 5’s is $5,000 to win both days and will payout through the eighths. All purses are guaranteed with no minimum entries. The race will be contested on the 1/8 mile with no ET limit and delay boxes are prohibited.

All IHRA and NHRA licenses and certifications will be accepted.

Gates will open at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 28 and will feature a test and tune Friday evening. Racing will get underway both Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. with one time run followed immediately by eliminations.
