Team Bray Racing’s Victor and Ben Bray will be on-track at Willowbank Raceway this Saturday 15 March, laying down some test passes during round two of the QLD Drag Racing Championships.
The home-track event for the Kallangur-based Brays will provide a vital testing opportunity as they seek to build on the data and progress found on their new converter set-ups at the Perth Motorplex’s recent Westernationals event.
“As we continue to come to grips with the new converter set-ups in both of our Sidchrome Top Doorslammers, any opportunity for testing is welcome and what could be better than having the chance to test at our home-track while also enjoying all the action of round two of Willowbank Raceway’s QDRC,” said Victor Bray.
“I understand that there are around 100 entrants expected to hit the track on Saturday including racers for the new QDRC Outlaws bracket, so I think we are going to be pretty busy between working away in the TBR pits and keeping an eye on all the on-track action!”
The new QDRC Outlaws bracket is bringing turbo, nitrous and supercharged vehicles together into the one class – something that has turbo-fan Ben Bray taking notice.
“It is no secret that I love my turbo cars, so the QDRC Outlaws class is something I will be keeping a keen eye on in between our testing at Willowbank Raceway this weekend,” said Ben Bray, who holds the world record for the quickest four cylinder doored car with an SR20 motor in his Nissan Altima, a record he set at Willowbank in April of 2013.
“We love racing here at our home-track so I am really looking forward to getting out there and laying down some passes to chase after that sweet spot for the new set-up.”
