MIRAMONTE RECORDS NAMED TITLE SPONSOR FOR EXCITING NHRA PRO BIKE BATTLE

GLENDORA, Calif. (March 14, 2014) — The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) announced today that MiraMonte Records, the official record label of country music song writer and entertainer Danny Griego, has signed a multi-year agreement to become the title sponsor for a lucrative race-within-a-race bonus program for Pro Stock Motorcycle competitors in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

The MiraMonte Records NHRA Pro Bike Battle will be contested as a special bonus event during the NHRA Sonoma Nationals, July 26, with television coverage provided by ESPN2.

Riders begin earning points for the 2014 MiraMonte Records NHRA Pro Bike Battle at the 2014 Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals, the season-opening event in 2014 for the Pro Stock Motorcycle category. The eight riders accumulating the most qualifying points during the seven races leading up to the MiraMonte Records NHRA Pro Bike Battle at the NHRA Sonoma Nationals will earn a berth in the 2014 MiraMonte Records NHRA Pro Bike Battle.

Riders will compete for a total purse of $68,000 in the MiraMonte Records NHRA Pro Bike Battle in 2014: $61,000 is available for the Battle, while $7,000 in bonuses will be awarded to the quickest Pro Stock Motorcycle qualifiers at each NHRA Mello Yello Series event throughout the Battle series.

The MiraMonte Records NHRA Pro Bike Battle winner will receive $25,000. The runner-up will earn $10,000. The two semifinalists will earn $6,000 each. The four first round finishers will earn $3,500 apiece. Low qualifiers earn $1,000 at each of the seven events in the MiraMonte Records NHRA Pro Bike Battle.

The 2015 MiraMonte Records NHRA Pro Bike Battle field will be determined during qualifying at 16-events, with riders starting to accumulate points at the 2014 NHRA Sonoma Nationals.

Riders will earn points for the 2014 MiraMonte Records NHRA Pro Bike Battle based on their qualifying position at the seven NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events that feature Pro Stock Motorcycle competition leading up to the NHRA Sonoma Nationals. Each position is worth the following points:
