FISCUS RACES TO QUALIFYING LEAD DURING NHRA PRO MOD DRAG RACING SERIES QUALIFYING ON FRIDAY
ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. – Kevin Fiscus paced qualifying Friday in the Pro Mod Drag Racing Series portion of the Toyota NHRA Summernationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. This weekend’s Pro Mod racing is presented by Powerocks.
Fiscus drove his late model Ford Mustang to a top performance of 5.851 seconds at 251.58 mph. Fiscus is looking for his first No. 1 qualifying position and first win of his career.
Defending world champion Rickie Smith sits second after the first day of qualifying, with a 5.856 at 247.75 in a Chevy Camaro. Two-time Englishtown winner Danny Rowe is third with a 5.869 at 248.34, also in a Camaro.
The final NHRA Pro Mod Series qualifying session is Saturday at 2:30 p.m., and will be followed by the first round of eliminations at 5 p.m. The final three rounds of Pro Mod eliminations will conclude on Sunday.
