YORK, PA – The Croshier, Baltes, Lavato Top Fuel Dragster originally a drag racing champion from California is headed to the 13th Annual Musclecar Madness at the York Reunion at the York Expo Center, York Fairgrounds on July 11th and 12th.
The dragster has been entered by former driver Jerry Baltes now headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. The team set numerous track records on the West Coast and was Top Eliminator at San Diego Raceway 13 times.
Joining Baltes at York will be several top fuel dragsters in the likes of World Champion Jim Walther and the former Great Expectations top fuel record holder formerly owned by Jim and Alison Lee of The Plains, Virginia and a renowned Roland Leong entry.
The Memorial Halls at the York Expo Center will see Funny Car entries from former World Champion Bruce Larson, Bunny Burkett, the Virginia Twister, the Frantic Ford, and Doug Thorley’s famous Javelin to name a few.
The backbone of NHRA drag racing the Junior Stockers will present a Cavalcade of Junior Stock entries that graced the finest drag racing events in this country back in the day. Dan and Wayne Jesel will field their newly completed restoration of their Yoo Hoo Too Sedan Delivery and Marv Ripes of Woodland Hills, California will be reunited with his ’59 Corvette and ’57 Chevrolet entries at the York event.
Special entries are the Blue Maxi ’69 Chevrolet Camaro that was built by Chevrolet for Roger Penske and Mark Donahue. The only ZL1 to be built in 1969 and is aptly referred to as the Z29 along with a special edition 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition that will grace the Linda Vaughn “Miss Hurst Golden Shifter” personality area.

Show hours are Friday, July 11th 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 12th 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Action swings to Beaver Springs Dragway on Sunday to complete the Gigantic Nostalgia weekend with activities beginning at 8 a.m.
