(9-3-2014) Mohnton, PA – The NEOPMA returns to Maple Grove to run with the “LATIN AMERICAN SPORTS COMPACTS” for the second year presented by USA Auto Supply.
This event will not only feature 5 second ¼ mile pro mods of the NEOPMA, but the fastest sports compacts in the nation, featuring ”USA vs. Puerto Rico”. With only one more point’s race after this event remaining, Fred Scriba, Dwayne Wolfe, Craig Pio and Ed Burnley will be battling it out for a NEOPMA championship.
“This event was added to our schedule after Ivan Mejias, club sponsor and owner of USA Auto Supply invited the NEOPMA to participate in his 3rd annual Latin American Sports Compact II event,” said John Mazzorana NEOPMA President. “It was a well-organized event with thousands of fans in attendance and loving the action.
Race classes will include: NEOPMA Pro Mods, Quick 16 (Import Sport Compact), Quick 32 (Import vs. Domestic, no box), Bracket 1 (11.99 sec. and faster), Bracket II (12.00 sec. and slower), Super Pro V8 11.99 and faster, Honda Battle (11.50 sec. and faster).
The weekend will begin with Auto Locator Fast Friday on Friday, Sept. 5. Gates will open at 4:00 pm. with heads-up racing and testing from 5-10 pm. Gates open 8:00 am Saturday and Sunday.
