NEW NHRA FANHUB LAUNCHED TO PROVIDE FANS WITH EASIER ACCESS TO ALL NHRA SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS

GLENDORA, Calif. (June 19, 2015) — The new NHRA FanHub was launched today it was announced by NHRA. Powered by Spredfast.com technology, NHRA-generated social media content from fans, drivers, tracks, teams and sponsors will now be available to view in one centralized location on the web.

The NHRA FanHub will feature weekly fan polls, contests and all NHRA themed social media content that highlights the latest trends and breaking news in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. Fans can access the site at http://www.nhra.com/FanHub from their desktop computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone or other mobile devices with an Internet connection.

“The NHRA fans and drivers are so passionate and creative on social media that we wanted to showcase this content to a broader audience online and make it available all in one place,” said Dana Mariotti, NHRA senior manager of social media. “The NHRA fans are our biggest ambassadors and the NHRA FanHub was built with those fans in mind.”

The NHRA FanHub also will be the official headquarters for all #BaptismbyNitro activity and the new #BaptismbyNitro Video Challenge, as well as the official voting site for the upcoming Traxxas Nitro Shootout Fan Vote.

In the #BaptismbyNitro Video Challenge, fans can submit a homemade video of their first #BaptismbyNitro experience at an NHRA Mello Yello Series event. The most entertaining and authentic reaction will win the Grand Prize of an all-expense paid Ultimate #BaptismbyNitro VIP Experience for two to the 2015 Auto Club NHRA Finals in Pomona, Calif. The first place winner will receive a Traxxas Nitro Slash radio control truck courtesy of Traxxas. The 10 second place winners will receive two tickets to an NHRA Mello Yello Series race of their choice in 2016.
