The after hours Grudge Night will be held at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled NMRA drag racing competition. Tentatively scheduled with “no time” time trials at 5:30pm and grudge racing at 7:00pm, the grudge night races are open to all Ford vehicles equipped with Ford powerplants. With several pre-determined and “locked-in” grudge races already planned, this first ever NMRA Grudge Night is on track to be a huge crowd pleaser. The open track format allows competitors to set up grudge runs that night so bring down your Ford and call out your friends! Big money, small money, or just pride will be the reward for the one who ignites the win light!
All grudge races feature no time, no scoreboards and no time slips… only the win light at the end of the track will determine the winner of each heads-up race. Every competition will be contested using the .400 Pro Tree with red light starts counting as an immediate and official disqualification. All other grudge night rules apply such as the “First or Worst” rule. With NMRA’s official starter, TJ “El Prepe” Bailey, providing his outstanding track prep skills, racers will have excellent racing conditions and fans will be treated to an exciting all-Ford Grudge Night!
Grudge Night competitors pay a $75 entry fee for the 5:30pm test session and the 7:00 to 9:00pm Open Grudge Track, this entry is also a spectator entry for the rest of the NMRA event. The Grudge Night entry fee does not include Racer entry into an NMRA or Bracket Class for the event. All NMRA racecars entered in a championship category (SO, REN, CM, PS, CS, FS, OC, SST, MM and TR) are prohibited from participation in the Grudge Night (competitors may enter a car that is not competing inone of these classes). Participants with cars entered in True Street, Turbo Coyote Shootout, or Terminator GT500 Shootout classes are permitted to enter the same car in the Grudge Night.
