GLENDORA, Calif. – The Sunflower Rod and Custom Association in conjunction with SRCA Dragstrip has a display at the local county fair this weekend promoting the various programs available at the track throughout the year, along with the sport of NHRA Drag Racing in general.
The display consists of a variety of race cars, nostalgia memorabilia and racing program information. Highlighting the display is a mini-movie theater showing various drag racing movies and old racing footage from the 1955 NHRA Nationals held at SRCA Dragstrip in Great Bend, Kan.
Display easels showcase NHRA and SRCA in ten year blocks of time covering 60 years of drag racing history. The Sunflower Rod and Custom Association have had similar displays at other community events during the last couple of years.
