ENNIS, Texas – Texas Motorplex will host the 2015 NHRA South Central Division Summit Racing Series Finals, September 25-27. Top drivers from NHRA member tracks across the South Central division will compete in six classes for individual and team honors. Individual champions in No-Electronic Quick, No-Electronic Street, Motorcycle, and Super Pro (or Pro) will advance to a run-off against the winners from NHRA’s other six divisions at the Auto Club NHRA Finals in Pomona, Calif., in November. (The winners in Super Pro and Pro have a runoff to determine who will compete in Pomona.)
Participants in the top classes will compete for cash awards of more than $20,000. Drivers who advance to Pomona will each receive an additional $3,000 and the champions in each class will earn $5,000. Competitors in the High School class will earn trophies.
Time trials at Texas Motorplex are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. The Race of Champions, a race within a race where the top points-earning drivers from each track square off in head-to-head competition, will start Saturday at 1 p.m. Round 1 of the event eliminations will follow in the afternoon, and continue on Sunday at 9 a.m.

WHAT: NHRA Summit Racing Series South Central Division Finals, where top drivers from NHRA member tracks across the South Central division compete in six classes for individual and team honors. The Race of Champions, a race within a race where the top point earners from each participating track run head-to-head for individual honors, will run on Saturday. Event winners from Sunday’s action will advance to the Summit National Championship at the Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona in Calif. A High School Class will also compete during the weekend.
WHERE: Texas Motorplex, Ennis, Texas. Track is located on Hwy. 287, two miles west of Ennis between Interstates 35 and 45. From Dallas, take I-45 to Hwy. 287 west to the track, or take I-35E to Hwy. 287 east to the track. From Fort Worth, take Hwy. 287 east to Waxahachie toward the track.

FRIDAY, Sept. 25 — Time trials begin at 9 a.m.
SATURDAY, Sept. 26 — Final time trials begin at 9 a.m. Race of Champions and High School are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. followed by the first round of Eliminations for the Division Finals
SUNDAY, Sept. 27 — Eliminations continue at 9 a.m.
PURSE: The Summit E.T. Racing Series competitors in Super Pro, Pro, No-Electronic Quick, No-Electronic Street and Motorcycle will compete for cash awards of more than $20,000. Sunday’s winners will advance to compete against winners from NHRA’s other six divisions at the Auto Club NHRA Finals in Pomona, Calif., in November.
