YORK SPRINGS, PA – A York Nostalgia Weekend will be held at the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing from July 8-10, 2016, it was announced today jointly by Lynn Paxton, Curator, and Darwin Doll, Drag Racing Coordinator.

The exciting new weekend will start with York US30 Heritage Days at the museum and the adjoining historic Latimore Valley Fairgrounds for Friday and Saturday, July 8-9, 2016.

The event will feature a drag racing car show which will highlight Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins Day and the annual Legion of Honor awards presentations at 5 p.m. Saturday will feature a host of drag racing activities to include a Roast of Jere Stahl and a Tribute to Harold "Chub" Lorah. Saturday will also include the "Glory Days" Cruise-In from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Muscle cars and street rods are featured with awards being presented for Best Chevrolet, Best Ford, Best Mopar, Best AMC, Best Truck, Special Interest, People’s Choice and Best of Show. All categories will be presented 1st thru 3rd place awards.

In essence, the York Reunion continues with a new setting. Pre-entry for the drag racing car show is required. The entries will be available on the show website www.yorknostalgia.com within the next two weeks. Entries will be limited to available space. Acceptances will be required.

The show invites a host of vendors to participate with their individual displays of auto items, toys and race car models, and items that appeal to the female gender of the family.

Show hours are Friday, July 8, 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday, July 9, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Surprise special events with Legends of Drag Racing will be presented throughout both days.

The York Nostalgia Weekend continues with the presentation of the York Nostalgia Nationals at Beaver Springs Dragway on Sunday, July 10th. Drag racing activities begin at 8 a.m.
