GLENDORA, Calif. (Jan. 21, 2016) – Officials at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis have announced plans to construct a permanent Top Eliminator Club (TEC) building at the multiuse facility. Construction will begin in early 2016 and will be completed before the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event on Aug. 31-Sept. 5. The building will be located adjacent to the starting line of the drag strip on the west side of the track.
The 16,000 square foot multipurpose event space will be
air-conditioned for usage during the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals as well as other events during the year. The building will feature a covered entry way, private restrooms, capacity for more than 1,000 people, a state of the art audio visual system, and will feature a bar area.
The pavilion also will be used for hospitality, indoor car shows, swap meets and vendor displays during other racing events at the facility. The pavilion will fill a void in the community, offering year-round use for community and non-motorsports events such as banquets and receptions, trade shows, conferences, swap meets, car shows, job fairs and much more. No such location currently exists in the town of Brownsburg.
Outside the new building is prime starting line seating and
unobstructed views down the world-famous drag strip.
“The TEC package at Lucas Oil Raceway is one of the best motorsports values in the country and the new structure will help add to the experience,” said Randy Simpson, general manager of Lucas Oil Raceway. “The pavilion can be utilized year round and will allow Lucas Oil Raceway to offer the structure to various groups that use the multi-use facility during the year and to attract new business.”
For $395 per ticket, TEC members enjoy great amenities during the race weekend, including the deluxe members-only hospitality center, complimentary breakfast and lunch buffets Saturday through Monday, complimentary beverages and snacks every day, live on-track action via closed-circuit television, members-only souvenir store, members-only full bar, gift bag with exclusive TEC cap and official Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals event program, and TEC preferred parking pass with purchase of four TEC tickets.
Current TEC members who wish to renew their tickets for the upcoming Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals or any fans who have questions about obtaining TEC tickets for the event can call NHRA’s Ticket Sales Center at (800) 884-NHRA.
The building was designed by ai Design Group in Charlotte, N.C., general contractor is W.A. Lynch Construction in Plainfield, Ind.
