NHRA Northeast Division Returns to Toronto Motorsports Park

GLENDORA, Calif. – The NHRA Northeast Division will host a PC Richard.com National Open event at Toronto Motorsports Park on June 17-19, 2016. This will be the first Northeast Division hosted event at the facility in more than 10 years.

“We are excited to return to the Toronto area and look forward to growing this event for many years,” commented Dave Mohn, NHRA Northeast division director.

NHRA classes scheduled to be contested are Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas, and Super Street. RCSS cars are also scheduled to be run in conjunction with the event.

As a special incentive, those Stock and Super Stock racers typically not permitted to compete in NHRA events, based on classification (i.e. Crate Motor Stockers, Stock GT, Pure Stock, Super Stock Production), will be permitted to compete at this event provided they pass all NHRA safety/licensing rules. Racers wanting to compete at this event can purchase an NHRA license and chassis at the event.

The event will be a double race weekend – one event on Saturday and a second on Sunday. The race entry fee will cover both races. There will be a track operated test and tune on Friday.
