Coming up Monday, June 6th, 2016 at 8 PM Eastern on Racin’ & Rockin’ with DragList.com, Bill Pratt will host an interview with Nicky Boninfante, crew member extraordinaire to Kalitta Racing’s World Championship DHL Funny Car! Nicky’s been in drag racing his whole life, being the son of the late Nick Boninfante, Sr., whose racing clutch technology is regarded as the best in the world. We’re excited to have Nicky join us for a visit on Monday’s show!
My commentary will focus on Drag Racing and Rock ‘n Roll, how the two are one and the same. For Racer of the Week, I have selected Don Turner (Sandi Don Turner) from Greenville, Pennsylvania. Don’s ’82 Z-28 Camaro is an outstanding example of Sportsman Racing at its best. I am looking forward to featuring him in my segment!
I will also do a special tribute in my segment to the late Curt Wasson, uncle of our friend Jim Jr Sanders. Curt was an independent Funny Car Racer in the early-to-mid 70s. He met an untimely end 40 years ago, and Jim has kept his memory alive. It’s an honor to acknowledge Curt’s contributions to our sport.
