NMCA Champions To Be Decided at Summit Motorsports Park During Weekend of Aug. 26-28

The 15th Annual NMCA World Street Finals featuring Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series brings wild heads up drag racing, celebrities, all-domestic car show & more!

Santa Ana, Calif. (August 4, 2016) – Norwalk, Ohio hosts the last stop of the 2016 NMCA Muscle Car Nationals tour presented by E3 Spark Plugs over the weekend of August 26-28 and it’s guaranteed to bring non-stop excitement to the fans of Summit Motorsports Park. The 15th Annual NMCA World Street Finals featuring the Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series brings out some of the best race teams in the country for a giant field of heads up and index drag racing. All of this action on the drag strip is combined with a weekend that includes TV stars from Discovery Channel’s Street Outlaws, all-domestic car shows on Saturday and Sunday along with a huge manufacturers’ midway and more.

Starting with qualifying on Friday, watch the stars of NMCA in classes like VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod, Mickey Thompson Radial Wars, ARP Nitrous Pro Street, Edelbrock Xtreme Street, Wiseco Performance Street Outlaw and more. The Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series brings out the LS-powered monsters of JE Pistons Drag Radial presented by K1 Technologies, Chevrolet Performance Stock presented by Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center, Holley EFI Real Street along with three additional all-GM classes. After the eliminations are concluded on Sunday, August 28, NMCA Champions will be decided in all championship categories with all winners taking a trip to the Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle.

This is also the final stop for the Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series. If you’re an LS fan then the Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series is what you’ve been waiting for. Developed from the excitement of the LSX Shootout, and going on its fourth year, the Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series will finish in an all-out battle for 2016 at the World Street Finals. Expect the best in LS performance as well as all-domestic heads-up muscle car drag racing.

The weekend brings the celebrities from the reality TV show, Street Outlaws. Meet “Daddy Dave” Comstock and check out his insane nitrous breathing ’63 Chevy Nova called Goliath 2.0. Then, meet Kye Kelley from Street Outlaws: New Orleans and get a picture in front of his awesome “Shocker” Camaro! Kelley is one of the few guys to put Big Chief on the trailer. There’s nothing better than watching NMCA’s Street Outlaws battle it out on the drag strip and then hang out with the stars from Street Outlaws TV show!

The NMCA World Finals also includes an awesome car show on both Saturday and Sunday, which features over 100 awards, from stock to modified. There’s also a giant Manufacturers’ Midway with aftermarket companies and their representatives ready to answer any question about their products.
