25th Annual Lakefest at Lake Marble Falls, 8/13/2016
By JM Hallas
Marble Falls, TX (Aug. 13th, 2016) – After a full day of qualifying for both the Pro and Sportsmen classes, it was time for two more rounds to improve your qualifying spot, or perhaps back up any record runs. At the end of today, the times/boats would be set up in brackets for Sunday’s eliminations. Getting a better qualifying spot sets up early runs against lower qualified boats, which is normally an advantage
Just to refresh, Friday’s top qualifiers in the Pro classes saw Bryan Sanders lead the way in Top Fuel Hydro, Travis Tuttle in Top Alcohol Hydro, Tony Scarlata in Top Alcohol Flat, Robert Leas in Pro Modifieds and Jim Richards in Pro Outlaw.
The Sportsmen ranks saw Steve Prewitt take the honors in Quick Eliminator, Greg Cawyer in Top Eliminator, George Goff in Pro Eliminator, Andrew Decker in Modified eliminator, Paul Hodges in Stock Eliminator, Mike Carter in River Racer, Matt Ogrodowilz in Lake Racer, Kyle Fawkes in Personal Water Craft1 and Ryan Loader in PWC2
