5th Annual Mickey Thompson NMCA West Coast World Finals and Hotchkis Cup Auto-X presented by Nitto Tire take over Fontana, Calif. next weekend
Santa Ana, CA (Oct. 7, 2016) – It’s the last event of the year for the NMCA WEST VP Racing Fuels drag racing series and it’s going to be off the charts! With awesome weather in the forecast and race teams ready to claim a championship, the 5th Annual Mickey Thompson NMCA West Coast World Finals will be the only game in town for motorsports fans during the weekend of October 14-16. With heads up drag racing and Hotchkis Cup Auto-X presented by Nitto Tire in the same event, there’s something for everyone.
As home of the West Coast’s Fastest Street Cars, the NMCA WEST features American muscle cars in all levels of performance. At the top of the charts, the ProCharger Limited Street class includes turbocharged and nitrous-powered purpose-built racecars with over 2,000 horsepower. Followed by Meziere Top Sportsman, ARP Outlaw 8.5, Lucas Oil N/A 10.5, MMR Mustang Madness, bracket racing and more, these classes make the NMCA WEST the best value in motorsports. Finally, Gear Vendors True Street gives anyone a chance to race because all street-legal cars and trucks are welcome. No matter what class is on the track, all drivers are racing for the chance to stand in the Aerospace Components Winners Circle!
Carving up the corners next to the drag strip, the Hotchkis Cup Auto-X presented by Nitto Tire provides tons of entertainment all weekend long. Whether it’s driving, watching or riding in the passenger’s seat, this is the last chance in 2016 to enjoy the outstanding autocross course, live timing and music provided by the Racing Byrds. With a limited number of participants, all drivers get maximum track time and instruction if desired. Two-day participants compete for the coveted Hotchkis Cup and all the bragging rights until next year.
The manufacturers’ midway features product displays, food vendors and shopping. Choose from the latest collectible model car or find your favorite NMCA WEST t-shirt, hat or accessory. 1-day adult spectators pay just $20 per ticket, which includes free parking and access to all of the racing plus racer pits. Kids 12 and under are always free. Enter through gate 7 off of San Bernardino Avenue. Purchase tickets at the gate. Gate opens at 8am on Friday and 7am on Saturday and Sunday.
