Let’s see; poodle skirts, oldies music, swap meets, flame throwing contest, fireworks, 1600 race and show cars, the NDRL stars and Oh yeah! $1 ice cream on National Ice Cream Day. That must mean it was time for the 16th Annual AzkoNobel Blue Suede Cruise at Summit Motorsports Park.
The NDRL 7.0 and 7.5 classes highlighted the racing action with Dana Glick in his 67 Camaro outlasting Larry Harden’s Anglia in the final with a 7.08 to Harden’s quicker 7.06 in 7.0 Pro. Bo Boles took home the 7.50 crown when Art Millet 2 stepped the light and was DQ’ed. Other winners included: Tony Halsey in Gasser Magazine Nostalgia Gasser in his 1949 Crosley! Dana Keyes Jr. won in Gasser Magazine Comp Gas and Matt Dadas in a Ford Ranger took Hot Rod.
