May 27, 2018, St. Louis Region – Although 15 classes were contested last night at Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois, there were 16 winners. While Ron Muenks of Stafford, Missouri took the Pro Mod final over Jim Sakuvich, Gateway Motorsports Park raced a severe thunderstorm and won. With chain lightning flashing all around the Metro East area, GMP was able to safely complete the event, which was abbreviated by rain on Friday. The skies opened up 10 minutes after the final pair raced down the St. Louis-area strip.
