YORK, PA – The Sixteenth Annual Legion of Honor Awards, equivalent of the Hall of Fame, will be presented by the National Nostalgia Drag Racing Association at the York US30 Heritage Days event at the Lebanon Valley Expo Center, Lebanon, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 5 p.m.
The NNDRA presents the prestigious awards to recipients nominated by their peers in the drag racing community for their many achievements and contributions to the sport of drag racing through the years. An individual award is presented to each recipient and their name is placed upon a perpetual award that is on display in the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing in perpetuity.
The York event is an annual reunion for the former York US30 Dragway that was located at the York airport in Thomasville. The track closed at the conclusion of the 1979 season. The annual pilgrimage to the York Reunion will occur for the eighteenth consecutive year.

The honorees for 2019 are as follows: Dave Alisio, Larry Kopp, Carol Henson, Rick Osburn, Buck Wheatley, Jay Wheatley (of Wheatley Brothers fame), Tom McCrea, and Bob Gerdes. This is a distinct group of deserving contributors to the drag racing sport.
The York US30 Heritage Days is presented on Saturday, January 12, 2019, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday, January 13, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The York Reunion has been recognized nationally for attracting the largest group of Legends of Drag Racing to assemble at one event at one time throughout the years.
