Remembering Leo Dunn – Twin Rear Engine Dragster Show Schedule 2019

Hi Friends and Family,

I hope you are all well. It’s that time of year again to show my dad’s twin rear engine dragster. When I was growing up I knew when the drag race season started then ended. Each season my family and I would spend hours and endless hours on the road. My dad spent lingering hours at the end of a race talking with all of his friends. We would get home anywhere from midnight to two in the morning. We got up, went to school, and my dad went back to work. The next weekend my family turned around and did the same thing again. Year in and year out we went to the drag races. During that time my dad worked, tinkered on his racecar, and my mom did everything else. lol The race track with all the heat, noise, and dirt that came along with it was their passion. He was a good, loyal, fun, and funny guy. He could absolutely fix anything, no really, anything you handed him, if it was broke, he could fix-it.

I am very proud to spend my time showing his twin rear engine dragster we restored in 2017. If you stand there long enough I will talk your ear off about my dad’s racecars, and back in the day at the drag races. My childhood memories have turned into my hobby. I could never show the dragster without the continued support of my husband, Chris.

It was a difficult decision to decide where to go this year. So many great choices, we are very fortunate in California to have many great tracks, and events. We would love for you to see my dad’s racecar again, or for the first time.

Here is our schedule. We are a lot older than my parents when they were doing this back in the day. We have three car shows we are planning to attend for the season.
