2019 National Hot Rod Reunion Photo Review

While most of the Midwest racing season has been affected by heavy rains, racers at the 17th Annual Holley Hot Rod Reunion at Beech Bend Raceway were treated with 3 days of near perfect weather. Good, close racing in all categories was the result. Here are some photo highlights by Dave Oakes.

Ted Peters’ Patriot Missile Duster was low qualifier in NPS @ 8.100/164.77.

Mike Kalinowski took home the ScottRods AA/GS crown.

Jeff Arend wheeled the California Hustler to the #1 spot in FC with a 5.83 run.

Tyler Hilton upset points leader Adam Sorokin in round 1 of top fuel with a 5.95.

Mendy Fry was low qualifier in TF with a 5.546.

#15 qualifier Jeffery Sanborn bested the 7.0 field with consistent runs.

75 yr old Ron Hope had his hands full all weekend in the Rat Trap.

Cody Hesler put down several long smokey burnouts in his Camaro FC.

Look ma, no wheels!

In one of the fastest side by side runs, Fry beat Jimmy Young 5.56/259.21 to Young’s 5.65/262.28 in the TF final.

The only major incident occurred when Herman Hill’s Henry J lost a water line.
