YORK, PA – The National Nostalgia Drag Racing Association will be presenting the 17th Annual Legion of Honor Awards which are equivalent to a Hall of Fame for the 17th consecutive year during the York US 30 Heritage Days at the Lebanon Valley Expo Center, Lebanon, Pennsylvania on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at 4 p.m.
The awards are presented to recipients nominated by their peers in the drag racing community by NNDRA for their many achievements and contributions to the sport of drag racing thru the years. An individual award is presented to each recipient and their name is placed upon a perpetual award that is on display at the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing, York Springs, Pennsylvania in perpetuity.
The York event is an annual reunion for the former York US 30 Dragway that was located at the York Airport in Thomasville. The track ceased operation at the conclusion of the 1979 season. The annual York Reunion has been presented for nineteen consecutive years.
The honorees for 2020 are as follows: Jim Senkewitz, the first brother nominations Gary and Greg Swenson, Frankie Burke, Yvonne and Randy Davis, Terri Osburn who joins her husband Rick, Bill Pratt and Jack Arnew. All are familiar names among the drag racing fraternity for their many years of support and racing contributions to the nostalgia drag racing community.
Since its inception, the York Reunion has been recognized nationally for attracting the largest group of Legends of Drag Racing to assemble at one place at one time.
