2019 PDRA Finals Photo Review

The 2019 PDRA season drew to a close over the weekend with the running of the Brian Olsen Memorial World Finals. Much credit goes out to the racers, PDRA staff and the staff at Virginia Motorsports Park to condense the program so it could be completed on Saturday in advance of an all-day rain on Sunday. The two days of action gave us event winners, season-long champions and historic runs. Here are some highlights in photos by Dave Oakes.

Randy Weatherford’s new Camaro became the 1st in the 3.50’s in pro boost at 3.597.

Mike DiDominico took home the pro boost win with a massive holeshot over Weatherford.

Even though John Montecalvo DNQ’d for the event, he is still the season champ in Extreme Pro Stock.

Brian Teachman put on a fire show on every pass in the Gotham City Camaro.

Jim Halsey hit the pro nitrous quadfecta: #1 qualifier, event win, season champ and world record at 3.613.

Kris Thorne was Mr. Top Speed with three runs over 218 mph, including a 219.79 blast.

Chris Powers took home the Extreme Pro Stock win over an engine exploding Dillon Voss.

Jeremy Huffman upset John Pluchino on a holeshot 4.27/166.76 in the Pro Outlaw 632 final.

Travis Davis capped off his world championship year by taking home the event win in Pro Nitrous Motorcycle.

Kevin Rivenbark went out in round 2, but is your 2019 Pro Boost World Champion.

Erica Coleman took home her 1st event title in Elite Top Sportsman.

John Stanley didn’t outrun the Burning Angel Jet but got the win on a redlight.
