Over 530 doorslammers in 20 classes invaded Summit Motorsports Park for the 20th Annual NMCA All-American Nationals. Racers faced oppressive heat & humidity, creating track temperatures of near 140. Here are photo highlights by Dave Oakes of the major categories.
Chip King was low qualifier @ 3.71 in VP Lubricants Extreme Pro-Mod
Jackie Sloan took the pro-mod title over a redlighting Dave Roemer.
Chuck Watson II led the Holley EFI Factory Supercar field with a strong 7.74
Lenny Lottig in his COPO defeated a wheelstanding Scott Libersher in the Supercar final
Dave Fiscus’ wild blown Buick V6 powered Mustang led Edelbrock Extreme Street @ 4.65
Jake Naumann’s gorgeous 70 Nova sat on the pole for ARP Pro Nitrous with a 4.42
Vince Khoury defeated David Fallon Jr in the pro street final when Fallon left too soon
Leonard Long ruled Dart NA 10.5 as #1 qualifier @ 7.86 and the class win.
Eric Bardenkoff put a holeshot on Chris Holbrook to win Extreme Street with a 4.59
Steve Trombley took the win in the popular Watson Cobra Jet Showdown over Cody Herron.
Don Balles took home the COPO Parts crown for non-supercharged COPO’s with a stout 9.17 in the final
Al Corda won both LME Street King and the COPO Parts COPO Battle

- The Arrington Hemi quick 8 category belongs to Tony Denalo
