The cars and stars of the PDRA made their way to the historic Beech Bend Raceway for the second race of their 2022 season. The Vortech Superchargers Doorslammer Derby. For the most part, familiar names took home the hardware, but some newer faces made their presence known as well.

3X defending World Champ Jim Halsey got his 1st win of 2022 by defeating Mike Acherbach with a 3.68 in the final of Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous.
Todd “King Tut” Tutterow is the WS Construction Pro Boost champ, taking out Preston Tanner with 3.65/209.13 to Tanner’s 3.69/197.57
In the closest race of all the finals, John Pluchino beat #1 qualifier JR Carr 4.086/178.73 to Carr’s 4.087/177.58 in Liberty Gears Extreme Pro Stock
In an all-female final, Amber Franklin took home her 1st Shameless Racing Pro 632 title with a win over Lexi Tanner. 4.18/170.62 to Tanner’s losing 4.23 167.68
Chris Nyerges’ Corvette defeated “Hollywood” Urban for the MagnaFuel Elite Top Sportsman title with a 3.84 in the final
Kyle Harris’ gorgeous altered is your Lucas Oil top dragster champion, beating Nick Hamilton in the final as Hamilton broke out, giving Harris the win at 3.84
JR Carr heats the hides before his #1 qualifying 4.051 pass in Liberty Gears Extreme Pro Stock
The #1 spot in Shameless Racing Pro 632 belonged to Walter Lannigan Jr with a nice 4.16/171.01 pass
Robert Gallegos took the top spot in WS Construction Pro Boost by .001 over Melanie Salemi with a 3.655
Tommy Franklin added to the good weekend by the Franklin family by scoring the top spot in Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous with a 3.68/204.73 blast.
Randy Perkinson gets it slowed down after his low qualifying 3.787/188.12 pass in MagnaFuel Elite Top Sportsman
