The PDRA made its 5th stop of the 2023 season in southwest Michigan at U.S. 131 Dragway for the Northern Nationals Presented by Talbert. The event was held in conjunction with the track’s annual Northern Nationals nitro show. Here are some photo highlights of the PDRA action by Dave Oakes.

Jason Harris put a .000 light on Kurt Steding for the win in WS Construction Pro Boost
In an all ‘blue oval’ final, John Pluchino outran Alan Drinkwater 4.08 – 4.09 in Liberty Gears extreme pro stock.
Steve Melnick overcame rule changes and health issues to take home the M&M Transmission Pro 632 win.
Tommy Franklin outran Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous points leader Jim Halsey 3.639 – 3.643 for the event title.
Canada’s Frank Pompilio made an appearance in this beautiful Pro Street Mustang.
Chris Cadotto made a string of 3-second passes to take home the Menscer Motorsports win over Bill Lutz.
Lutz had a wild weekend. He qualified #1 but blew it up big time, thrashed all night to put it back together but lost in the final to Cadotto.
Nick Meloni had a good weekend in 2 classes. He won MagnaFuel Top Sportsman over Joe Roubicek and qualified #1 at 4.27 in Laris Insurance Top Dragster.
Ashley Johnson defeated Tom Martino in Laris Insurance Elite Top Dragster with a 3.84 run in the final.
Dan Ferguson took out #1 qualifier Bryan LaFlam on a holeshot 3.81 – 3.78 final pairing in MagnaFuel Elite Top Sportsman
Ken Quatuccio raced to the #1 spot in WS Construction Pro Boost qualifying at 3.616/204.17
