The Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Drag Racing Series, Presented by J&A Service, ventured to Southwest Michigan for their fourth race of their season. The event featured the usual MWDRS categories and was held in conjunction with US 131’s Annual Funny Car Nationals. Here are some photo highlights by Dave Oakes.
Annie Whiteley took the top spot in J&A Service Funny Car at 3.593
Glen Butcher led the Pat Musi Racing Engines top sportsman field at 3.765
Keith Haney took home the Stroud Safety Pro Mod win over Ed Thornton.
Ron Muenks was the #1 qualifier in pro mod at 3.620
Greg Jones suffered this nitrous pop during top sportsman qualifying
Anita Strasburg went to the top of the I con forged pistons top dragster field with a 3.721
Phillip Esz defeated Steve Macklyn with a 3.58 in the Funny Car final
Ed Thornton set a MWDRS pro mod speed record with a 229.12 blast
The top sportsman win went to John Vesper over Mike Badia
