Top Fuel Provisional No. 1 Qualifier

NOTE: Former Top Fuel champ Steve Torrence rocketed to the provisional No. 1 qualifier position at Firebird Motorsports Park when he took his dragster for a 3.678-second pass at 336.23 mph on Friday at the 39th annual NHRA Arizona Nationals.

Funny Car Provisional No. 1 Qualifier

Cornwell Tools/AAA Chevrolet Camaro SS

3.840 seconds, 334.40 mph

NOTE: Funny Car newcomer Austin Prock took the provisional No. 1 qualifier spot on Friday at the NHRA Arizona Nationals when he clocked at 3.840-second pass at 334.40 mph at Firebird Motorsports Park. If the pass holds, it will give Prock his second No. 1 of the 2024 season.

NOTE:

Due to unseasonable weather conditions on Friday in Phoenix, the NHRA Safety Safari spent additional time working on the track and track prep. Based on those weather conditions, Friday’s Pro Stock qualifying session was postponed to Saturday.
