NHRA TO HONOR LA COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS DURING LUCAS OIL NHRA WINTERNATIONALS IN POMONA
POMONA, Calif. (March 27, 2025) – NHRA officials announced special plans to honor the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s heroic efforts during the recent Southern California wildfires as part of this weekend’s 65th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals at historic In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip.
On Saturday, members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department will be recognized and paraded down the return road in front of the fans at 12:15 p.m. PT, prior to the third round of qualifying in the Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. Firefighters who were involved in the efforts to put out the fires in Los Angeles County received free tickets to the weekend’s event, while a ticket discount through GOVX is available to any firefighter outside of LA County.
During the race weekend, the Fire Department Coffee Community Hero will also be awarded, while local firefighter dignitaries will be recognized in Pomona.
Additionally, in appreciation for the bravery and commitment to protecting our communities, In-N-Out Burger will be offering a complimentary meal to firefighters on Saturday at the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals. In-N-Out Burger respectfully asks for firefighters to present their badge to receive their meal, which includes any burger, chips, and beverage on the menu.
Last season, Justin Ashley (Top Fuel), John Force (Funny Car) and Dallas Glenn (Pro Stock) claimed Pomona victories.
