For the first time in over 20 years, the smell of Nitromethane permeated the air at an IHRA event. The new IHRA held its inaugural race in the Outlaw Nitro Series at Darana Raceway east of Columbus.
While Mother Nature tried to put a damper on things by forcing the event to be completed on Sunday morning, the event went off as well-organized and professional. The future could be bright for the new IHRA. The next event in the series is July 24-26 in Milan, Michigan. Photos by Dave Oakes highlight the action.
