covered the 2001 version of the AHRA World Finals for us. He sent along

up the 2001 NHRA Division 1 points battle at Englishtown this past
weekend. It didn't go totally their way, but the season was a success.

Wins $100,000 Budweiser Shootout; Garlits Records 300 Mph Speed At
Mac Tools U.S. Nationals. NHRA.com reports that Big Daddy
Does it! He went 4.72 at 303 to hit both goals and to qualify for Indy, to
boot. Frank Pedregon out finessed the rest of the funnies to win the
$100,000 Big Bud shootout. Plus all pro qualifying results and Monday
pairings.
