It was a day of upsets and surprises at the Summit Nationals.
Maddie Gordon made it to her first final round and defeated Antron Brown with a 3.786 @ 333.16 over Antron’s 3.840 @ 328.14.
In Funny Car, Ron Capps’ 3.969 @ 328.54 emerged victorious over Jack Beckman’s 4.011 @ 323.42.
Pro Stock saw Aaron Stansfield gave a win to Elite Motorsports with a 6.626 @ 208.75 to Matt Hartford’s losing 6.597 @ 207.98. Both Greg Anderson and Dallas Glenn were out early. Kenny Delco defeated Anderson, and Glenn was unable to run due to a fuel leak.
Pro Mod winner was Kevin Rivenbank over Billy Banaka.
Top Alcohol Dragster saw Mathew Cummings upset Jamie Noonan with a 5.283 @ 273.39.
In Alcohol Funny Car, a big upset saw Sean Bellemeur fall to Doug Gordon’s 5.510 @ 266.06.
Taylor Dietch won Factory Stock Showdown over Jonathan Allegrucci.
Top Dragster was a popular victory for Sadie Glenn, as she bested Kenny Carson with a 9.470 @ 87.70MPH.
In Top Sportsman, Alex Miller won with a solo 7.957 @ 141.76. Opponent Glenn Butcher’s car failed to start, so he couldn’t make the race.
